Last I paid my bill at the nearest office of the company from which I get my telephone and internet service, the young woman who took my money was wearing a black T-shirt on which, in one of the colors that comprise the logo of the company for which she's working and whom I was paying, was the word "Equality." If other customers weren't awaiting service, I may have asked her what message she meant to communicate with her shirt. Would you have asked her the same or a similar question?

I know what she meant to communicate with her shirt (and I may mention it in a comment below).

One of my favorite comedians, Josh Blue, sometimes wears onstage a T-shirt emblazoned with a single floweret of broccoli, When I interviewed him, I asked him about that. He told me that he doesn't particularly like that vegetable, but he adopted that look randomly. Have you ever worn a garment that could be seen as communicating a message but you may have worn randomly...or to mess with people's perceptions?

One of my favorite T-shirts is from the goth electronic/industrial band KillingTheOldMan. The act's logo and artwork surrounding it are so ornate that it can be difficult to ascertain that it's a band shirt. I can only recall one instance of someone asking me about the shirt when I've worn it in public; fortunately, the person asking knew the biblical concept communicated by the band's name and understood that I wasn't advocating for executing senior citizens! Has anyone ever asked you about messages stated by clothing you've worn?

My wardrobe is such that it communicates nothing other than that I'm not unclothed.

Some people, at least on some occasions, believe they should make a statement with other pieces of clothing. Democrat New York congressional representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made quite a statement in 2021 when she wore a formal dress. the back of which was splayed was splayed with the statement "Tax The Rich," at a gala for The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Among the options I give below, what is your opinion of her propagandistic pierce of haute couture?

I believe clothes needn't display words nor pictures to communicate something about the person wearing them. How often do you have in mind what your clothing may say about you when people see you wearing it?
