Food & Drink
In my homeland of Scotland, food was quite bland but as people moved to Scotland from other countries we were introduced to curries from India, hot sauce from Mexico and other countries and some of us really liked it but the heat level was still quite low. When I moved to Canada a friend gave me a drink called a Caesar and added 2 drops of Tobasco sauce and i found this quite hot but enjoyable. Another friend who came from India made my wife and I a traditional Indian meal which had many dishes, each one hotter than the last. Very hot and very enjoyable. Then I had a burrito at a Airport restaurant in Salt Lake City and tried the "El Fuego" sauce. That was so hot my mouth was still hot hours later. So how hot is too hot. When does flavor lose the battle with heat and actually spoil the meal completely. The El Fuego sauce did it for me. What is the hottest meal you have eaten and did you enjoy it? Here are some examples of spices, hot sauces and the meals they are used in below.
