I once worked (many years ago) with a woman who ate her bananas peel on. While we all thought that was strange, she actually was getting lots of extra nutrients from that peel -- it is In fact, edible, and packed with nutrients, such as high amounts of vitamin B6 and B12, as well as magnesium and potassium. It also contains some fibre and protein. Who knew? Most of us do peel our bananas, and some peel down from the "handle", and some peel from the nubby end of the banana. According to experts (monkeys) the best way to peel a banana is from the nubby part down, using the handle as a handle. Do you peel your banana down from the handle or from the nubby end?
