My first exposure to charcuterie went beyond the definition provided in the introduction to this poll; the first charcuterie board in my experience included not only meat products, but fruits, cheeses and candies as well. What do you typically associate with a charcuterie board?

The grandest charcuterie board from which I've ever eaten may have been the one ordered for a birthday party for my mother in 2022. There were many guests at the celebration, so I was certainly not the only person to eat from it. But have you ever made or would you ever make a charcuterie board merely for your own consumption, either for one meal or more?

On two occasions I've helped assemble small charcuterie boards for individuals. For the past couple years my church congregation has participated in a summertime program making and distributing free lunches for anyone to pick up, though the program is geared to students who wouldn't be getting meals at school. The lady coordinating my church body's week's worth of contributions included a mini-charcuterie board (with sausages, cheeses, fruits and candies...and maybe nuts?) board among the meals. Does this seem to you like something fun to put together &/or eat?

Not long after I thought of composing a survey about charcuterie, I thought about what would be included on a vegan or vegetarian charcuterie board. I've seen examples online that didn't much impress me, but what would you want to see o such a board?
Meatless cold cuts, sausages, pate's, etc.

The idea of meatless charcuterie is an oxymoron I don't want to contemplate apart from answering this question in order to the get points for completing this poll.

Whether or not you like eating and/or assembling charcuterie, do you, as I do, think that "charcuterie" (pronounced shar-KOO-tur-ee, in case you didn't know) is a fun word to say?
