I've recently been to Vietnam and was blown away by the coffee culture there. Coffee shops and stalls are everywhere and the variety is just mind blowing. They regularly use robusta coffee, which is stronger compared to arabica (though slightly less flavorful) and most of the time use sweetened condensed milk. What I found more amazing was the other add-ons that simply blew my mind (initially being hesitant to even try, now I'm just a huge fan). Egg coffee is now among my favorite and when I heard they make it with egg yolk (not the whites!!!) I almost said no to it. Luckily I tried it!

In Turkey, coffee and tea are the drinks of choice. Coffee is made in an ibrik on the stove, is very strong and has a lot of sediment. For show, they also make it on hot sand, but that's more of an eye candy and the coffee tastes the same. Coffee is served in small cups with beautiful design and many people add sugar to sweeten the brew (not mandatory though!). As a tourist in Turkey, I enjoyed treating myself to a few cups every so often and relied on them for the energy needed to visit this amazing country. Have you ever had Turkish Coffee?
