It is the time of year people like to drink hot drinks and there are several. Some are great others not so much this is about hot winter beverages

Winter time Hot drinks can include anything from lattes and mulled wine to tea and cider. What hot drinks do you enjoy during the winter months
Hot chocolate (cocoa) Topped with whipped cream or with mini marshmallows maybe add some chocolate shavings, and perhaps a peppermint stick ( my husband I did this recently and used whipped cream and peppermint it was delicious)

Chai tea is another option it is flavorful, and fantastic. You can further tweak it to suit your tastes. Using cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves. It is a rich full bodied taste that satisfys ones taste buds

Hot Lemonade hot, spiced, sweet, and citrus. It's an excellent choice if you're looking for something soothing to coat your throat. ( Not one of my personal favorites but some of my family love it) add honey or maple syrup or sugar and ginger perhaps a bit of mint for flavor.

Irish coffee is simple to make and needs just four ingredients. Use Coffee, brown sugar, whiskey and heavy cream and whip it up. Are you Irish? Add more whiskey or brown sugar as need for taste, some like it stronger than others.

And since it calls for brown sugar, you'll find hints of caramel in every cup. Use Bourbon or Whisky and warm it up on the stove use Brown sugar for sweetness. Unsalted butter. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves for some spiciness that warms you from the inside out. A pinch of salt or salted butter to bring out the flavor. Use a bit of Vanilla extract and add whipped cream and enjoy!
