In the last little while (time is relative, especially when you're older), I've come across some products whose intentional use has morphed into another use. I'd like to learn if you have had this experience.

Bag Balm- this had a moment back in the oughts, when people starting using it as a moisturizer. The original use was intended for cows' udders, to soothe the skin and comfort the cow. It came in an iconic green tin, and was sold at, among other places, Canada's Lee Valley Tools. Did you know about this?
Yes, and tried it.

Mane and Tail, a line of haircare originally designed for horses, also had a moment in Will Ferrell's Blades Of Glory. Will's character, something of an empty-head, was truly sincere when he extolled the product's virtues. Mane and Tail has a full shelf in drugstores. Have you heard of it?
Yes, and tried it.

Healthy Hoof. My nails are always splitting and chipping, especially when I lived in the sub-arctic desert that is Yellowknife, NWT. Even living south of 60, seasonal changes affect my nails. I found Healthy Hoof on Amazon, and at $12 a pop, took a risk. This is a great product! Real results, and my nails and cuticles are so much healthier. I even sent some to my friends and family up north and in Alberta. Have you heard of it?
Yes, tried it, results good.

I will need your input for this: back in the oughts, there was a medication, widely used. I think it was for quitting smoking, and co-incidentally cured acne, or the other way around. Fell free to tell me how wrong I am, can't find anything on the internet! Do you know about this?
Yes, and it worked.

  • I have no clue what you are talking about.
  • I tried Zyban and it really did help get over the craving.
  • No can do.
