Vaccine mandates are one of the most hotly contested topics currently as there are strong feelings on both sides of the issue

California will mandate COVID vaccines for K-12 students as each age group is fully approved to receive the vaccine, becoming the first state in the nation to require schoolchildren to be vaccinated against the coronavirus. Do you think it is wise to require all children - regardless of age - to be vaccinated in order to be able to return to school?

Some people are concerned that this new mandate for children does not consider conditions such as underlying health issues that could be complicated by the vaccine or those that have contracted the virus but were able to successfully recover - meaning they have natural antibodies (which studies have shown are far more effective and longer lasting than current inoculations). Do you think there should be exceptions in these cases?

The move will almost certainly bring renewed stress to school boards around the state, as concerned parents continue to express their concerns over these swiftly-created inoculations at local school board meetings. If you had a child attending school in California, would you be comfortable with the mandate requiring them to receive the newly released vaccine?

As previously mentioned, this is a very hotly debated topic. Do you feel ill toward others who disagree with you on this?
I am for the vaccine, but I understand why some have misgivings about the vaccine and aren't comfortable with the conditions of it's manufacture (it seems rushed, no way to know long-term effects, etc.)

I am against the vaccine, but I have no ill feelings toward those who have chosen to get it.

I am against the vaccine and I can't stand the sheep who are rushing to get the shot. I can only hope there will be detrimental long-term side effects and they'll learn the hard way.

I am for the vaccine and feel those who refuse to get it are a danger to all of us and it would serve them right to get the virus and become seriously ill or even die.

Governor Gavin Newsom made the announcement Friday morning during a press conference at Denman Middle School in San Francisco's Balboa Park neighborhood. The COVID vaccine will be added to the list of required vaccines for students to attend in-person school.
