Results: When I had friends in the LGB community, there weren't many of them. They kept a low profile, they did their thing, I did mine. We met socially but I wasn't a member of the group. Now I would like to join but I need a "letter of introduction."
Published on 05/02/2024
As of this moment the LGB community has grown into the LGBTQQIP2SAA one and new members seem to be joining the group almost daily. At my advanced age all the people I once knew in the community have either passed away or moved away. I no longer have anyone to sponsor me as a member so I need a "letter" so that I can apply for membership. Do I need a new one or can I just use one of the existing ones? I have some ideas. See what you think of them.

I don't think "H" for heterosexual will be acceptable because many members of that group not only don't like the LGBTQQIP2SAA community, they actively work to close it down. One letter I think I would like to use is the letter "P" for several reasons. Here is the first one. "P" stands for parade. Everyone likes a parade and the LGBTQQIP2SAA have one of the best ones. The group has recently been excluding groups from joining their parade but with the right letter maybe I can join. Will "P" for Pride Parade work?

Another reason I like the letter "P" is because the LGBTQQIP2SAA have great parties. I have been to one or two and they are fantastic fun. I have met some great people, I can really dress up for them, the food is usually good and there is never a lack of friendship or entertainment. I think this is another good reason to become a member. Do you agree?

- A pool party - all those Speedos and coats (robes) of many colours.
- nope and would NEVER!
- Yes I have and had a great time. Despite that, I am not a joiner. My social circle is diverse and inclusive. You sound like a great person to be around that should get you accepted anywhere

When I worked for a consulting company and travelled on business to most of the major cities in the USA with one of my associates (G), who is a life member of the LGB (as it was known at the time) he always knew where to find a "piano bar" which I discovered was a euphemism for a gay club. It was a safe place for G. and I enjoyed going with him to a few of them. I was always made welcome and didn't mind the extra TLC I got because I was a guest. The food and drink were better and less expensive than at a straight bar for reasons unknown. If I was still in business, that would be reason enough to go to one of those piano bars. I think P for piano is another good reason to join the LGBTQQIP2SAA. Do you agree?.

I enjoy politics and have been quite active in the past, but less so these days. The LGBTQQIP2SAA are very politically active these days and, if I join, I can lend some of my expertise to the group. Do you think the LGBTQQIP2SAA could use some additional help politically from a new member like me? "P" for politics?
