This idea cheered my up. A non profit in Vancouver Canada made this 3-D decal to place on the road near a school. Knowing that children's lives can be saved by this simple innovation got me thinking of other uses for this concept. I wish this method was used in addition to those signs that many drivers ignore. If you saw something like this in the road wouldn't it grab your attention?

Also from Vancouver is this innovation to get drivers stop at crosswalks."The Pedestrian Brick Crossing System." was used on April Fool's Day but could be used all year round. On either side of the crosswalk, pedestrians are invited to take a red foam brick that they can wave while crossing, to grab the attention of drivers. Few drivers are going to take the risk of a brick through their window. Do you like this idea? Even the concept made me smile - did you?

One of the hazards of the season is the arrival of an unwanted and judgemental guest. Some of us are forced to prepare for this event by giving the house "a bit of a tidying up" and some of us need a bigger bit than others. This snapshot is of a more extreme response. Is preparing your home for visitors a major chore for you?

This may be like some TW members after Thanksgiving or will be like other members around Christmas time. I will probably be one of them. Will you enjoy a full belly on at least one day this December?

I did a survey recently where I mentioned that a Chinese XXL sized jacket was a medium at best in North America. This is a label from an article of clothing that is a medium in Canada and an XL in Japan. This could motivate one to eat less this holiday season. I plan to ignore this as being biased reporting and will be quite happy if I can still fit a North American XL come January 2025. Will you be ignoring nutrition, calories, salt, cholesterol and other labels for this holiday season?

As well as overeating we tend to overspend at this time of year. Do you remember a time when "Makes A Perfect Gift" made kids this appreciative?
