The GFCF [Gluten free, Casein (milk phosphoprotein) free] diet is about cutting out gluten (wheat, barley, rye...even more and in products like body products, play doh, etc) and milk/dairy products. Autistic children are thought to have high sensitivities to both. There is some scientific merit to support it. Researchers have found that those showing autistic symptoms have abnormal levels of peptides in bodily fluids.
