At first when she would come over, she would have to be home by 6 or 6:30. We eat at 5:30, so I offered her dinner and she ate with us a few nights. Then she started suddenly having to be home by 5:30. That's actually fine with me, because I don't always have extra (we're already a family of five), but I wondered if maybe her parents weren't happy I was feeding her. In hindsight, I probably should have had her call and ask. If you feed neighbor kids, do you ask their parents first? Yes, for meals.
