Results: Just for fun

I mainly would want to be in a secluded area with no close neighbors.

I would want to be in the middle of the action in a big city of my choosing.

I would stay or return to my hometown and find a nice property there.

I would just want to live near children, grandchildren, other family, or close friend(s).

I would want to live in the desert.

I would want to live near the mountains.

I would choose someplace near the ocean.

Regular 8-5 job. You put in your hours and have no responsibilities outside of work hours.

Management job. You make a lot more money than an 8-5 job, but your phone rings outside of general business hours. You have more vacation time, but frequently do not get to use it.

Middle management job. You make a little more money than an 8-5 job, but you are held responsible for errors your team makes and are at a higher risk of being downsized out of your position.

Own your own business. You generally work 12-16 hour days for the first 5 years minimum. Then start to see some of the benefits of being the owner. You are still working 60 hours a week, but can actually take off time so long as you are willing to mentor management team via phone or email as needed. You are finally swimming in money after the first 7-8 years.

My new spouse and I must be in love with each other. No other option will do.

I'll allow my parents to choose my spouse for me (assuming this is NOT your culture.)

My culture typically has arranged marriages and it has worked well for my loved ones, so this is my choice as well.

If I have to marry, I need to be wildly attracted to this person.

I would not marry, I'd get a job and support myself instead.

Big Government: Everything is free to everyone, but the government gets to decide what you can have and what you cannot have. Yay! Free but limited health insurance and free college without the opportunity to become wealthy at your job because everything is limited unless you are part of the government. The government dictates to you what you can and cannot do.

Small Government: Options are everywhere and you get to choose what you have or don't have. You can own your own business, but the risk is all yours. You can invest and clean up big time or lose everything. Health insurance is provided by employers and you choose whether you budget more for better insurance or cut costs a bit and take a reduced plan. You can work and save for your future and live your life as you dictate.

I would hate this. I need my family and friends in my life and don't do well alone for extended periods of time.

I would be okay with this. I'd miss my family and friends, but it would be a year of self-growth or enjoying my favorite pastime (reading, puzzles, scrapbooking, working on a car, hiking.)
