Has Someone Ever Tried to Kill You?

When I was 18, I broke up with a guy I had been dating. One night after that, he came to my home when only I was home. He said he just wanted to pick up a hat he had left at my home so I let him in so he could get it. He then pulled a gun on me and said, "If I can't have you, no one else will." He pointed his gun at me and was going to shoot me. I could tell he had been drinking so my first instinct was to grab the gun from him. I grabbed the gun and pointed it at him and backed up to where my phone was and called the police. They took him away. The second time someone tried to kill me was when I was 19. I was dating a guy who suddenly started being very jealous. One day I was helping a new neighbor (who was a guy) who had just moved in next door. He had asked to borrow some water because his wasn't turned on yet. Right then, as I was giving him some water, my boyfriend showed up. When he and i went into my house, he shoved me down and started choking me. He said, "You are cheating on me with your new neighbor!" He proceeded to choke me while sitting on top of me. My mother arrived during this and he stopped. Has anyone ever tried to kill you?
