1. I have seen the craziest reactions to something as harmless as pressing the horn button on a car. There are several types of horn pressing and each of them has its own objective. A horn press can result in road rage the same ways as a "Bronx Cheer" or "Giving the Finger." It can start however with something more innocent like "The Quick Blip." - one brief toot and that's all. To alert a pedestrian to your presence if/when they are about to step off the curb.

Similar to the above but used to tell the pedestrian it is safe to cross in front of you and your car will prevent other cars behind you from mowing down said pedestrian,
