Renaissance Fests (also known as Faires or Fairs) are pretty much like they sound. Recreation of the times with people in costumes, food, crafts, games, events. When I lived in Michigan, was one held each year...
1. All's Faire in Love - just to give an idea, this 2009 movie was shot at the Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly. The fictional locale called Hollygrove, buildings and structures left up all year round. Ever been to such a Fest?

2. Food - most geared to be hand held. Turkey legs, meat pies, fish and chips, corn on the cob. Drinks being mead, craft beer, wine, cider, lemonade, iced tea. Don't recall sodas. Do you enjoy foods that can be picked up and eaten with your hands?

3. Themes - each weekend had a theme. Near Halloween, creepy stuff of course. Fools Day, romance, Highland fling, fantasy, even pirates. The foods and events similar, but geared for the theme. Guests invited to dress up if liked. Which of these sound appealing to you? (If none, hit that N/A)
