Conjunctivitis aka Pink Eye

I have had an aggressive case of "Pink eye" the past couple of weeks my son has also had it We have washed things down and been treating it had to see an eye doctor as it was not responding to normal pink eye and have an ointment we are using. It is getting better we keep thing wiped down and clean with wipes like sink faucets, doorknob and key boards, mouse etc. The eye doctor said it a bacterial eye infection and to also use warm compresses and ice packs to help. It is still bothering but much better. My sons is cleared up now mine was worse. He is 53 I am 76 I hope mine goes away totally soon. I think it will. Have you ever had pink eye and a hard time getting it to go away? The eye doctor also said to use a humidifier at night and to use drops called refresh tears which helps and soothes the gritty burning and itching. He said there have been other cases the past couple of months and that the bacterial type is easier to clear up but could take up to 3 weeks.
