2. This is from a day I spent at a powwow in Shakopee MN. I like to go to powwows to photograph the dancers in their stunning regalia and also because of the energy of the drums and the general atmosphere. I find them to be very positive experiences. Have you ever been to, or perhaps even participated in a powwow?
3. This wolf is one of a pack of four siblings who were removed from a private owner and now reside at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley. Unfortunately due to their circumstances they would not be able to survive in the wild, but they are doing well where they are. Last time I visited I had the good fortune to have a couple of them wander up to me and stay a while. One of them even bowed to me! Do you think that wolves are beautiful too?
4. A marble, a spoon and a sparkly gift bag along with a light to create reflections gave me this photo. Turns out that you can do a lot with every day objects. Do you ever save 'non art' items with the intention of crafting or creating with them later?
5. This was taken on a cold and blustery day in Chicago where it was kind of sleeting and kind of snowing. I thought it was the perfect setting to turn into a black and white and to me it has a sort of atmospheric mystery. Have you ever found something striking in what is actually a very normal street scene?
6. Last May, after spilling water on and destroying my advanced point and shoot I decided to replace it with a mirrorless camera that takes interchangeable lenses. This very cooperative bee modeled for me so I could practice using a macro lens. I love how fuzzy bees are, and of course, the fact that they pollinate. Do you ever find yourself thinking that insects are kind of adorable?
7. Finally, here is a photo I made of the inside of my umbrella using a flashlight and the vivid setting on my camera. Nothing deep here, I just wanted to leave you with some cheerful colors to look at. To give you a question to answer though, do you ever find beauty in every day objects? Just like last time, I hope you enjoyed this survey and thanks for playing!
