Tiffani Nielson said of the video, "I completely understand the connection to a mother duck and her babies, but if there was a crash which resulted in a fatal or serious injury, a driver who stopped for ducks potentially could face a criminal charge.'' A few months ago, I stopped traffic on a fairly busy road because the car in front of me struck a dog. The dog tried to bite me as I attempted to move it, so we were delayed while someone got me a towel I could use to prevent the dog from biting me as I moved it. Have you ever stopped to assist an injured animal?

The driver who struck the dog was speeding and was so shook up that she just pulled off the road and cried. I stopped, blocking one lane of traffic, put on my emergency flashers and did what I could to help the dog. Cars had to slow, but I felt there was no risk of accident. The dog survived. I just feared it would be hit a second time if left lying in the road. Do you feel I handled that situation correctly?
