Everywhere I've ever lived in California, the local Parks and Recreation District has offered a wide variety of affordable classes on subjects ranging from learning to play bridge, to various crafts, dance, swimming, fitness, Yoga and even beginning computer classes. In my opinion, one of the best things about Parks and Recreation classes is that they are taught by members of the community. Anyone can plan and teach a class on any subject they are knowledgeable about and wish to share, so long as the district approves the class. Were you aware of this aspect of Parks and Recreation District classes? Yes
