From a young age I realized I was non-binary. I was born female. I regularly asked (from a very young age. Starting around 4yrs old) if I was meant to be a boy growing up, and was always met with disgust (if it wasn't my mother I was met with shock. If it was her I was met with disgust and anger that I kept asking). As an adult I realized there are more than just 2 or 3 genders. I identify as a demigirl. Partially female, but male/masculine a lot of the time. Do you feel my mother was right in telling me I was meant to be a girl, and that I should've quit asking? (she did not know about my body dysphoria when I started "becoming a woman." I kept it to myself because of how she responded to my early on questions and she never supported me) I agree with your mother. You were born female, and are only female whether you like it or not.
