June is pride month, where all members of the lgbt+ community and their allies come together and fight for their right to exist in a world that still very much shuns them.

From my experience, many people excuse their homophobic behaviour by saying things such as "I don't have a problem with the gays, but..." and proceeding to list all their problems with the so-called 'gays'. They also seem to think that pride flags, parades and such are irrelevant in today's society. Do you agree that this is homophobia?

Pride parades exist because homophobia, transphobia and an inability to recognize the lgbt+ community still exists. Straight pride parades do not need to exist because straight people are fully recognized while queer people are not. Do you agree that the concept of a straight pride parade is stupid?
