Results: June Cleaver, Move Over. There's A New Mom On TV!

Lorelai Gilmore -- Gilmore Girls -- Up until this show, TV hadn't really had a show about a single mom trying to figure life out. She navigated parenthood and career with humour, she wasn't afraid to make mistakes and admit it, she knew how to be both a friend and a parent to her daughter, didn't sacrifice her own ambitions and love life to do so, and was relatable and likeable. Both mom and daughter grew up together on the show, and their relationship, while not only smooth and perfect, was real. Did you admire Lorelai Gilmore as a mother?

Rainbow Johnson -- "Black-ish" -- She's a breath of fresh air when it comes to moms on TV in the modern age. Rainbow is practically a modern version of Clair Huxtable from "The Cosby Show," but watching Rainbow navigate what it means to be an African-American mother in this moment in time is amazing to watch. "Black-ish" has never been shy about confronting awkward or painful conversations, and Tracee Ellis Ross plays the role with so much heart and soul. She also juggles a demanding career (doctor) with raising a family, and shows you don't have to be perfect to be a great mom. Do you feel she is a great role model as a mom?

Penelope Alvarez -- One Day at a Time-- This reboot gave us one of the toughest moms in television history. Here, Justina Machado plays a mother, a war veteran, and a nurse all at once. She's also a single parent and suffers from anxiety plus depression. This character has opened up many meaningful conversations about mental health and other pressing issues. showing us that moms are more than just "moms", and they have mental health issues just like everyone else. She's She's definitely a fun character, but an even more inspiring one. Do you think she is a good role model as a mom?

Claire Dunphy -- Modern Family -- The character of Claire Dunphy is the mom on this list that most reflects me. She starts out as a housewife, but then became the super-motivated head of her father's company as well as being an inspiration to her grown kids. Claire apparently had a wild life as a youngster, though she's a type-A personality as an adult. Her good intentions are always in full force, even if she has to give up something for herself for the sake of her children. She's had to evolve and change as her children did, and also kept her relationship with her husband sexy and fun. Do you think she is a good role model as a mom?

And while these are all good moms, there are some moms that are anything but. Which of these moms on this list do you think are some of the worst moms in TV history?
