Lionel was appointed High Commissioner for Barbados and Guyana in Britain; and for several years he simultaneously served as the Ambassador for both Barbados and his native Guyana in England, France, Germany, and Netherlands. In 1962, Queen Elizabeth made Lionel a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE). In 1966, he was named a Knight Bachelor; and in 1969 he was made KCMG (Knight Commander of St Michael and St George). How do you feel about a British king or queen bestowing honors like knighthoods?
It's a great honor.

Although his Indian parents raised him in a faintly Christian setting, Lionel only became devout at 64 when he was converted at a meeting sponsored by the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship International. He became a traveling evangelist, speaking in Guyana, England, Australia, and the US; and he founded a mission, Luckhoo Ministries in Fort Worth, Texas in 1980. Does that shift in focus surprise you?

For years Lionel applied his legal skills of analysis while studying the historical record and concluded, "I say unequivocally that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is so overwhelming that it compels acceptance by proof which leaves absolutely no room for doubt." Given Lionel's courtroom background and familiarity with examining evidence, does his opinion carry more weight with you than the opinions of some others?

Luckhoo has stated, "The bones of Muhammad are in Medina, the bones of Confucius are in Shantung, the cremated bones of Buddha are in Nepal. Thousands pay pilgrimages to worship at their tombs which contain their bones. But in Jerusalem there is a cave cut into the rock. This is the tomb of Jesus. IT IS EMPTY! YES, EMPTY! BECAUSE HE IS RISEN! He died, physically and historically. He arose from the dead, and now sits at the right hand of God." Do you see this as persuasive for Christianity, or dismissive of other religions?
It's a great point for the legitimacy of Christianity.
