I hear you need a place to stay while you're on your road trip visiting the attractions, museums, and restaurants in my previous surveys. Well let's travel back in time with some of the oldest and most historical hotels in all of Canada.

Newfoundland and Labrador - Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland - The original Newfoundland Hotel (pictured), an 8-story brick structure, was opened in 1926 in St. John's. In the early 1960's the hotel was renamed Hotel Newfoundland. Steeped in history and built on the site of the old Fort William at the base of Signal Hill, blending elegance with the vibrant and colorful atmosphere of one of the oldest cities in North America. In 2008, St. John's based Fortis Inc. properties bought the Newfoundland Hotel and converted it to the Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland. Have you ever stayed at this hotel?
