I took my cruise on the USS Spartanburg County LST 1192 in 1974. I had to work during the entire cruise but I did get to see Rota and Barcelona, Spain, Naples, Italy and Toulon, France among other ports of call. It was a 6 month long cruise and I was the happiest when I got back home.
