Bird-friendly glass is specially designed to prevent bird collisions by making the glass visible to birds, as they cannot perceive it as a barrier on its own. It works by adding patterns, such as ceramic frits, acid etching, or UV-reflective coatings, to the glass's exterior surface, which breaks up reflections and makes the glass appear as an obstacle.
