I keep my tree in a room with a door so my cat can not climb it. We don’t use tinsel because it can cause intestinal damage if an animal eats it.
I decorate with poinsettias but I am careful where I put them so my pets can not get to them. I don’t use mistletoe or holly at all because they are dangerous if animals eat them.
