Christmas has come to end and for a majority of the world. Except maybe those that celebrate on January 7th following the Julian calendar with the Orthodox Church. Did you know about any of the ways other countries celebrate?

Germany, responsible for the origin of Christmas Trees, typically bring the tree into the house on Christmas Eve and then decorated by the mother and the young children in secret. They exchange gifts on Christmas Eve. Have you heard of this? Do you celebrate this way?

Japan doesn't celebrate it as a religious holiday, but it is seen as a time to spread happiness. They use a lot of the western traditions and Fried Chicken is the most popular meal at Xmas, so KFC is busy that time of year. Did you know this about Japan Xmas? Do you like KFC?

Of course Christmas isn't big in China but more recently some big cities started to celebrate some parts of it. Some choose to give apples on Christmas Eve which they call Ping'an Ye meaning peaceful evening. Did you know this? Do you or did you get apples as a Christmas gift?

There are more than 25 million Christians living in India. Traditional Christmas trees are usually replaced with mango or banana trees, whilst churches are decorated with Poinsettia flowers and candles for midnight mass.
