Results: Presidents Day and Family Day

Nearly two dozen states officially recognize Presidents' Day, which celebrates Washington's birthday and honors all those who served as presidents of the United States. More than a dozen others do not observe it at all. Does your state celebrate President's Day?

In most provinces of Canada, the third Monday in February is observed as a regional statutory holiday, typically known in general as Family Day. Two-thirds of Canadians live in a province that observes a February statutory holiday. Family Day was originally observed in Alberta in recognition of the importance of home and family to its founding pioneers.
