I grew up in a small town, but for the last two weeks of August my parents rented the same cottage in the woods at a beach for about 15 years. I loved that part of the summer the most. Now that I'm retired, my husband and I bought a small house in the woods near that same beach, and it's a wonderful place to live full-time.

I would take my husband along and I really wouldn’t care where we went. One vacation we took was only in a certain direction to start. If we wanted to take a road not travelled before, we did, if a town looked interesting we stopped, went to things we saw along the way, stayed in areas not planned. We did this for approximately 14 days and had a wonderful, relaxing vacation.
