Results: So, I Went Out For An Evening Of Donkey Basketball...

...and I had a pretty fun time! Have you ever seen people playing basketball while riding (or otherwise attempting to move) donkeys?

The donkey basketball event I took in was a fundraiser for a family in my town with health challenges that incurred high medical bills. I believe the mom of the fam' is a waitress at I restaurant I patronize for Sunday brunch, though I didn't know that before attending the event. Have you ever aided someone you know, even as an acquaintance, without initially knowing you were helping that person?

This night of donkey basketball was organized by my chapter of Future Farmers of America (FFA) at my town's public high school. I know this isn't the only instance of charitable action in which the local FFA engages on an annual-or more often-basis either. Regardless how giving to your community they are, is there at least one FFA chapter where you live?

I might not have partaken of an enjoyable night watching people shoot hoops while perched on pack animals had I not heard about and won a ticket for it from a radio station to which I listen most every weekday. Have you ever won anything by calling a radio station?

In the interest of fairness and curiosity, i clicked links to a couple of articles about the alleged dark side of donkey basketball in doing some follow-up research after deciding I wanted to write a survey about my donkey basketball experience; and whatever nastiness about it seems to exist in the minds of people involved in purported animal welfare organizations, such as the one which benefited from the proceeds derived from the song linked here (by singers who have recorded other work I like much more), which have proven themselves inconsistent, if not hypocritical. But never mind my biases! Do you think there's anything cruel or unseemly about donkey basketball?
