Arcangelo won the 155th running of the Belmont Stakes on Saturday after pulling ahead of National Treasure down the stretch, running away from the rest of the pack. With that victory, Jena Antonucci became the first female trainer to ever win a Triple Crown race. Have you ever watched or attended a horse race?

Mashnee Girl, trained by Mark Hennig, broke down in the first race Sunday, suffering a catastrophic injury to her left front leg at the storied racecourse in Elmont, just outside New York City, before she was put down. About 17 hours earlier, in the 13th race Saturday, a similar fate befell Hennig-trained Excursionniste, who also suffered a fatal injury to the front left ankle. Including Mashnee Girl and Excursionniste, four horses have died during races at Belmont Park's spring/summer meet, which began May 4 and has encompassed 1,670 horses starting in 214 races. Do you think horse racing should be illegal?
