Results: Team USA wins Gold at 2024 IIHF World Juniors

Congrats to Team USA!
The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Juniors tournament is held every year just after Christmas. It features some of the best 16-19 year old ice hockey players in the world (except of course for Russia). The tournament is located in a different country every year. This year it was held in Ottawa, Ontario.

Oh well. Wait until next year (wait! isn't that the Toronto Maple Leafs motto?). Maybe we should show Canadian ice hockey supremacy by having the winners of the Memorial Cup play (awarded to the best junior team in Canada). That would be the Saginaw Spirit of Saginaw, Michigan (who play in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) a division of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL)). We can always point to the NHL Stanley Cup winners. Nope, that's the Florida Panthers who are located in Sunrise, Florida. How about the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) Walter Cup champions? Again, nope. That's the Minnesota Frost of St Paul, Minnesota. Isn't it time we recognize USA as champions for ice hockey? Yes
