Technology
This survey is about technology in schools. Even if you do not have children, please answer based on what you believe about students in general. The wireless revolution has transformed 21st century learning. But is this the right thing to do? Whether you want to believe it or not, there are many negative health effects of wireless technology (many believe this to be a controversial topic but there are thousands of conclusive studies and millions have suffered because of wireless). As if this wasn't already bad enough, children are more severely affected by wireless, including cell phones, cordless phones, and WiFi, because their heads are smaller and they absorb more of the radiation since they have a higher water content. This is worrisome since children are particulary vulnerable as their brains are still developing. Ironically, schools are now some of the most dangerous and toxic environments for children - with almost everyone in the building having a cell phone and one or more wireless devices and perhaps other wireless gadgets throughout the building and wireless access points throughout the building, the very place meant to help children may actually be doing them just as much harm. Keep in mind for some of the questions that tchnology deployment in a school does not require wireless. Many schools utilize SMART Boards and projectors and provide a desktop for each teacher. By utilizing computer labs and wiring each classroom with Ethernet ports to allow either desktop or laptop usage in the classroom, schools can utilize technology for instruction without endangering their students. In addition, desktops allow for greater productivity in the classroom than laptops or tablets.

With tablets and smartphones, many students no longer know how to use computers. Many do not know how to use the file manager, print documents, download files or use Microsoft Office. Considering that a majority of white collar jobs require adequate computer knowledge, does it concern you that schools are now actually reducing the amount of useful technology instruction?
