A Bit of Introductory Background: Uber/Lyft are constantly making changes to their platforms—effecting everything from basic app features, how “bonuses” are offered, and most importantly, to the algorithm that determines how much a rider is charged and subsequently, how much of that the driver actually receives. But the media is not kept “in the loop” and often reports information that has either already changed, or is based solely on the PR campaigns of the tech companies and not the real world data. This has lead to the creation of a global customer base with a serious disparity between what they believe they know about Rideshare services and what is happening in reality—which tremendously benefits the Big Tech shareholders! This survey attempts to discover what the most common misconceptions are about Uber/Lyft today. It is not necessary to have prior experience with taking an Uber/Lyft to take part—simply choose N/A for the questions you can’t answer. Please be honest—otherwise—what’s the point! And I strongly encourage you to use the “other” option when none of the choices fit, but please include a brief but specific answer also. Your participation is greatly appreciated!
