A white grizzly bear has become internet famous thanks to a snap of a camera. Buzz about the unusual animal has been building ever since late April, when it was spotted in Banff National Park as a family drove by. The photos made the local news. In the weeks since, the bear has made international headlines and locals have given it a name. Park officials say they've already encountered tourists pulling over on the side of the Trans-Canada Highway, hoping for a glimpse. When photos of the bear landed online, it was not news to park officials, who have been quietly watching the white beast grow for two years after it was first spotted as a cub with its mother, a bear known to staff. Have you ever heard of or actually seen a white grizzly?

White grizzlies are almost unheard of. Polar bears roam the Arctic, and the West Coast has Kermode, or spirit, bears — though they're a variant of black bear, and their numbers are estimated to be in the low hundreds. But in the Rockies, grizzlies are sometimes darker, sometimes lighter, but always brown or black. This white grizzly is the first of its kind to be seen in the park, and as such, needs to be protected from photographers and tourists desperate for a glimpse. At the very least, experts say, packs of curious people could make it more challenging for the bear to move around and find food. At worst, the pressure from spending more time around humans could set the bear up for a dangerous confrontation, which could result in the bear being destroyed. Have you ever stopped your car, to take a photo of wildlife?

Within minutes of his birth on May 20, this little kitten captured hearts all over social media. Biscuits and Gravy, the kitten born with two faces, on an Oregon farm, died just three days after his birth. He was one of six kittens born, but the only one with this unusual feature. Biscuits and Gravy had two noses, four eyes and two tiny mouths. He only had one brain stem, but could eat, suck and meow from both faces. At first, he had been doing very well, according to the family's veterinarian. Two-faced cats are known as "Janus" cats, named after the Roman god Janus, who had two faces -- one looking into the past and the other into the future. Although these rare kittens don't usually survive for more than one day, a two-faced cat named Frank and Louie defied the odds and lived for 15 years, even appearing in the Guinness World Records book in 2006. Have you ever seen or heard of a cat born with two faces like this one?

In May 2016, a Minnesota man near the Mississippi River, found nestled dead in the underbrush what looked like a single newborn baby fawn, carrying two heads on one body. The baby deer was actually a pair of conjoined female twins with a body about 23 inches (60 centimeters) long from tail to heads. Their body was patterned with the telltale spots of other white-tailed deer and appeared to have been recently groomed. According to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and The American Midland Naturalist this discovery marks the first documented case of two-headed white-tailed deer twins brought to full term and birthed. Have you ever heard of any conjoined twins in the animal kingdom?
