On YouTube there is a community funded search and recovery dive team called Adventures With Purpose. The owner and founder is Jared Leisk from Oregon. This began as a fun filled YouTube page of lost personal items found under the water in the Pacific Northwest. He started recording his dives as he located soda cans, sunglasses and cell phones. It was his chance to clean up the environment and find things others had lost with the hope of returning them. Have you ever gone scuba diving? Yes

In one video Jared found a wallet with $150 dollars and was able to return the wallet and cash to the rightful owner. After nine months of cleaning up and returning as much lost property as he could, he located by accident his first submerged vehicle in Portland. This led to finding more and more cars underwater. The team decided if they are finding vehicles by accident, maybe they should start looking for them intentionally. A family reached out from Missouri about a missing loved one that they believed was underwater. That initial trip, to help a family locate a loved one, would be the very beginning of a newfound purpose Jared Leisek and his team never could have imagined. What started in 2019 as a fun underwater hobby series had now become a purpose of solving missing person cold cases and bringing healing to families long torn apart by the unknown. Have you ever had a hobby that turned into a purpose of some sort? Yes

To date Adventures with Purpose has helped close 20 missing person cold cases across the country. Jared said they do it all for free and rely only on donations, apparel sales, YouTube clicks, likes and shares. This team is dedicated to cleaning waterways and bringing closure to the families of missing loved ones. I hope no one on here has a missing loved one but if so please consider reaching out to Jared Leisek and his team for help. Have you ever had a loved one go missing? Yes
