Results: I May Not Shop At Walmart, But This Commercial Is Genius!

What can possibly entice customers to spend their hard-earned dollars on televisions and appliances this Black Friday? Walmart thinks a "Mean Girls"–inspired ad could do the trick. The big-box retailer released this two minute commercial, and it's a reunion of our "Mean Girls" dreams. Most of the high-school comedy's leads reprise their roles -- Lindsay Lohan's Cady is now the guidance counselor at North Shore High School, while Amanda Seyfried's Karen continues her career as a meteorologist and Lacey Chabert's Gretchen is the cool mom directing her daughter's TikToks. There's plenty of cameo appearances, plus Missy Elliott shows up as the gym coach. If you have seen this ad (or see it here for the first time) do you agree it's wonderful?

The TV show "Community" was famous for their movie parodies, targeting everything from "My Dinner with Andre" to "The Dark Knight", and everything in between. While I did not regularly watch the show, I have seen clips and agree these parodies were well done. Were you a regular viewer of "Community" and did you enjoy their parodies?

Movies have had great success with parodies. My personal favourite parody of all time is "Airplane!", and on the below list, it came in as number one (surely, to no surprise -- and don't call me "Shirley"). Have you seen any of the top parody movies (ranked by Screen Rant)?

And think back to 2020, when Covid parodies were everywhere, focusing on our strange new normal with parodies on hand washing, virtual learning and work, no social interaction, mask wearing and of course, the toilet paper crisis.
