Sometimes trying to remake something, no matter how well executed, is a total waste of time. Released in 1960, Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho revolutionized the horror genre and shocked audiences worldwide. Film classes have studied it, movie critics consider it one of the best of its kind ever made and it cemented Hitchcock's place as one of the best filmmaker in his genre. The movie has earned its place as a classic. So, when in 1998, a a shot-for-shot, line-for-line remake, starring Vince Vaughn, Julianne Moore and William H. Macy, was released, the results speak for themselves. The film lost all of its shock factor and unpredictability, and though decades had passed, the film doesn't look any better than the original. The film cost $60 million to make and only managed to recoup $37 million at the global box office, making it one of the biggest commercial flops of the year. Have you seen...

Yesterday by the Beatles is the undoubtedly the most covered song in history, "Yesterday" has racked up approximately 2,200 variations since it was released in 1966. It seems that almost every genre of music has a version of "Yesterday," from classical orchestras to country stars such as Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard putting their southern twang on the tune, no one wanted to miss out on this infinite classic. Other big names who couldn't resist this song's hopeful and calming melody include Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra and Aretha Franklin. Still, the Beatles version is widely regarded as the best. Do you like the Beatles song Yesterday or do you prefer another version more?

Not every TV show that gets remade is terrible. One Day At A Time, the 1975 sitcom got remade with a fresh approach in 2017 and did well, while the U.S. remake (sort of) of The Office, a UK sitcom, was widely regarded as superior. TV likes to call them "reboots", but call them whatever you want, these reboots should never have been made. Which of these completely uncalled for reboots did you watch?
