Zavikon Island is home to a bridge that, at only 32 feet in length, is considered the shortest international bridge in the world. It connects a Canadian island with an American island in the middle of the Saint Lawrence River, in an area known as the Thousand Islands. It just so happens that these two islands were joined by a bridge because the smaller island is owned by the same person who owns the house on the larger, Canadian island. Have you ever been to the Thousand Islands?

When Ashlyn Blocker was born, she didn't cry. She barely made a noise. When she developed terrible diaper rash, so raw that it made her mother wince to even wash her, the pediatrician gave instructions to change her formula and put cream on the rash and keep it dry. "I kept thinking, But she's not crying," Tara Blocker said. "The doctors dismissed it, but we're thinking, What's going on?" She was later diagnosed with a rare condition called congenital insensitivity to pain, caused by mutations in her SCN9A gene. Her nerves don't send pain signals to her brain, so she never experienced physical pain of any kind. As a teenager, Ashlyn broke her ankle and she didn't even know it. Her parents noticed her limping for two days and then they found that her bone was broken. She had to constantly scan her body for bruises, cuts and burns to see if they're turning into an infection. 50% of the babies who're born with this disease don't live up to the age of 3. Amazingly Ashlyn is now 25, having lived with this condition her entire life. Have you heard about this condition before?

Imagine booking a flight to Ontario International Airport and thinking it's a short cab ride to Toronto...Nearly once a month, Traveler's Aid volunteers at Ontario International Airport in Ontario, California (twenty-five miles east of downtown Los Angeles) are approached by traveler's who request special help. The International Code for Canada just happens to be "CA", as "US" is the International Code for the United States. Some have no idea that in this case the "CA" stood for California. In reality, Ontario is a Canadian Province (think "State") in Canada. There actually is no city within the province of Ontario named "Ontario". Did you know there is an Ontario International Airport in California?

They are tiny insects that are often overlooked or stepped on, but ants are marching not only into people's backyards, but also their homes, as the popularity of ant-keeping rises in popularity. "It's one of the fastest growing hobbies in the world," said Zachary Liu, owner of Canada Ant Colony, a business that sells ant farms, colonies and supplies. Ant-keeping is very popular in Europe and Asia and in the last decade or so, more and more enthusiasts in Canada are turning parts of their homes into bustling ant farms. It's estimated Canada as a whole is at somewhere around 20,000 or 30,000 ant enthusiasts. Popular YouTube channels like AntsCanada that features countless high production videos of ant colonies and ant-keeping, have also contributed to the rise in popularity in the country. Have you ever thought about keeping ants as a hobby?
