The most important rule we have is to avoid insulting or personally attacking other members. We expect everyone to remain civil and respectful in the comment section. Insults and personal attacks create a hostile environment and discourage open, productive discussions. Our goal is to foster a space where everyone feels welcome to share their thoughts without fear of being targeted or demeaned. Remember, constructive conversations are built on mutual respect, even when opinions differ. Do you agree with this rule? Yes

We also ask members to refrain from complaining about or making fun of surveys, survey topics, reused topics or their style of survey. While general criticism is allowed, and we value constructive feedback, it's important to do so respectfully. Just because a topic or survey style isn't something you're personally interested in doesn't mean others won't enjoy it. If we only approve surveys or survey styles that everyone likes, we won't have enough variety or surveys to approve at all. If you come across a topic you don't like, simply click 'Next Poll' rather than discouraging the creator or demeaning the survey. Let's keep the environment positive and supportive. We also ask members to avoid leaving off-topic comments. This doesn't mean your comments have to be strictly limited to the exact survey topic (for example, if a survey is about politics and you reference another political issue, that's perfectly fine). What we're aiming to prevent are off-topic comments used to insult others or bring up arguments from other threads. These types of comments derail conversations and create unnecessary tension. Let's keep the focus on the topic at hand and ensure discussions remain respectful and constructive. Do you agree with this commenting guideline? Yes

We're sure everyone can imagine that moderating a community isn't easy, especially when people have different opinions on what's offensive, what constitutes an insult, or what breaks the rules. We're doing our best to ensure all members have a positive experience on Tellwut, but we ask that when you reach out to support, please refrain from insults, swearing, or name-calling toward our staff. If we remove a comment, it's nothing personal—it's simply our effort to ensure the commenting guidelines are being followed to the best of our abilities. At the end of the day, we're simply asking members to respect each other, avoid personal attacks, and focus on sharing thoughts about the topic at hand. We encourage open discussions, but they must remain respectful for everyone. While we can't control whether you choose to block someone, it might make your experience more positive if you block comments from those you'd rather not engage with, instead of getting drawn into negativity. Let's work together to create a space that's welcoming and constructive for all members. Have you ever blocked someone on Tellwut? Yes

Finally, a big thank you to all of our members. We truly appreciate the surveys you create, the interesting comments you share, and the positive energy you bring to the site. When the comment section is filled with everyone's opinions, rather than insults, it creates a fun and engaging space for great discussions.
