Trivia
The good thing about this survey, and maybe others on this theme (of not really any theme) is that you do not have to listen to the song to answer the questions -- but hopefully you will listen and enjoy them as much as I do!

The "fork in the road" is a common metaphor referring to a time when a choice must be made between different courses of action, and once made, the decision cannot be reversed. This theme has been explored in The Muppet Movie (where they encounter a literal fork in the road) and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, among others. Baseball legend Yogi Berra, famously said, "When you come to a fork in the road, take it", encouraging others to embrace change and new opportunities. Have you ever come to a fork in the road, and if so, do you regret your choice?

Recently while watching an episode in the current season of Hacks (if you have not seen this HBO show, if you like Jean Smart and clever comedies, watch it!) I heard a song I thought sounded like Queen. A quick search confirmed that it was indeed a Queen song, which I have never heard before. And I love Queen, and even know some of their seldom played songs. Have you ever heard a song that sounded like a singer or group you enjoy, only to discover you had never heard it before?

In 1958, many radio stations in the U.S. banned an instrumental song! "Rumble" by Link Wray and His Ray Men was a major hit in the spring and summer in both stores and on jukeboxes--but not on radio. Interestingly, though "Rumble" contained no lyrics, many radio stations banned "Rumble" believing the instrumental had the power to incite riots among America's youth. Do you think a song with no lyrics could possibly incite a riot?

This next one is a little different. I did attach a song, if you want to listen -- it's one of my favourite songs. But this one is simple, and you can either play along or skip it and answer N/A. Pick up the book closest to you and turn to page 97. The first complete sentence describes what your life is like right now. Mine is "Almost against my will, my fingers go to the spine of the book". Fitting... It's just for fun! Are you going to try it, and if you do, let us know what it says?
