I know I can't be the only one. Nothing is as creepy to me as dolls. Not your average run of the mill dolls, but the vintage dolls that are probably collector items, for whatever reason. Some might collect them or find them adorable. I just find them creepy, and always have. Recently I was in an antique store filled with such dolls, and I had a very real physical reaction, with my heart racing and I had to get out of there. Does anyone else here have a reaction to these dolls like I do?

The most famous creepy doll in film has to be Chucky, the demonic doll possessed by the spirit of a vicious serial killer of the same name. Chucky is one of the most recognizable and memorable horror villains of all time, ever since his debut in the 1988 film "Child's Play", and in subsequent movies, Child's Play 2 (1990), Child's Play 3 (1991), Bride of Chucky (1998), Seed of Chucky (2004), Curse of Chucky (2013), Cult of Chucky (2017) and Child's Play (2019). Oddly enough, I find these movies a little comical, and not as scary as I think they should be. Have you watched any of the Chucky movies?

Far more scary, for me, is Annabelle. Annabelle is a Raggedy Ann doll alleged by Ed and Lorraine Warren to be haunted and displayed in The Warren's Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut. The doll served as the inspiration for the films "The Conjuring" (2013) and "Annabelle" (2014). These movies relied more on suspense and tension, rather than gore, to scare you. Have you ever seen the real doll Annabelle in this museum?

Although not considered scary or creepy, the Toy Story films used childhood toys to address some very adult themes, such as abandonment, loss, change, the cycle of life, acceptance and the process of growing up. These films may very well have handled these themes better than many adult movies. This year, Toy Story is turning 30 years old, with the very first movie having been released on November 22, 1995. Are you a fan of the Toy Story films?
