There are some phrases we used "back then" we no longer use and other phrases we use regularly these days that we never used "back then." I had some fun thinking of these and hope you have fun adding to the list.

There are many phrases we used to use that disappeared with little fanfare. We woke up one morning to a new world where these phrases had become obsolete. I wonder if I like this new world. Do you remember a time when our conversation might include these?
Keen as mustard - Really enthusiastic. (perhaps based on a brand of hot mustard made by the Keen company.

Pearls before swine - You are wasting your time by offering something that is helpful or valuable to someone who does not appreciate it.
