Clever Ad Or Inappropriate?

1. A recent advertising campaign on the Toronto Transit has raised more than a few eyebrows. The ad for Halo Top ice cream has been flagged by some for being inappropriate with its (what I feel is clever) graphic of a bride eating the ice cream with her foot on another man's foot, while sitting next to her groom. (To see ad fully, right click on image to open it up in another tab) The ad is facing backlash because some viewers interpret the imagery and tagline as promoting questionable behavior, specifically a bride potentially "cheating" on her wedding day. What is your opinion of this ad?

2. The Halo Top ice cream ad is only one in a long line of ads featuring the tagline "So good, you don't have to be", with other ads being posted since August of this year. A Halo Top spokesperson said, "We are promoting all the good that Halo Top delivers while recognizing we could all use a little 'offset' for moments where we're a little less than perfect." Do you think this is a good ad campaign?
