Mr. Marketer. I agree, QR codes are nifty tools. Will admit to having taught an unconscionable number of middle schoolers how to create and use 'em (and have created the one you see here. Which may or may not have a message for to our little TW community). But at the end of the day, I don't want to be scrambling for the remote so that I can "Donate Now!" or "Go Straight to the Website for More Information!" When you see a QR code in an ad how often to you scan that code?

Look Ad Guys, it was hard enough deciding which show we wanted to stream on demand. And now you want us to pick which "Dr. Rick Helping Young Homeowners Not Turn Into Their Parents" commercial to watch? Give your demographics department something to do. Maybe that way you can quit showing Sephora and Hobby Lobby ads to older dudes streaming "Walker, Texas Ranger." When you are asked to "select your ad," do you....

And please, Dear Mad Men. Stop with the quizzes. I have no issues with Nick Jonas and am glad he is managing is diabetes well. But I am tired. I do not want to "Test My Knowledge of Diabetes" or take a True/False quiz about his insulin pump. Please demote the guy who pitched this insanity. When you are subjected to one of these ads do you actually take the quiz?
