Michael Flynn Spreads Conspiracy Theory About Vaccines In Salad Dressing
Donald Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn appears to be peddling a new conspiracy theory that salad dressing could contain the COVID-19 vaccine. “Somebody sent me a thing this morning where they’re talking about putting the vaccine into salad dressing. Or salads. Have you seen this? I mean it’s—and I’m thinking to myself, this is the Bizarro World, right?” Flynn can be heard saying in the clip. “This is definitely the Bizarro World. ... These people are seriously thinking about how to impose their will on us in our society, and it has to stop.” As noted by fact-checker Mike Rothschild and Snopes, the claim was spawned by a new study researching how mRNA vaccines could, in the future, be grown in edible plants such as lettuce, meaning they could be stored at room temperature and eaten instead of injected. There have been no proposals for COVID-19 vaccines to be put into salad or its dressings.-Huffington Post

Florida Says Many Students Don’t Need To Quarantine After Exposure To COVID-19 Cases
Florida’s new surgeon general on Wednesday signed new rules allowing parents to send their children to school rather than quarantine if they’ve been exposed to someone with COVID-19 and remain asymptomatic. Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo was sworn in Tuesday by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) as the state continues to battle a surge in coronavirus cases linked to the highly transmissible delta variant. The new rules signed Wednesday allow students to continue going to class on-campus “without restrictions” as long as they are asymptomatic. Ladapo’s provisions do give students the option to quarantine if parents choose, but for no longer than seven days. -Huffington Post
