One of the most horrific murder stories in Canadian history, involved Paul Bernardo, who is still serving a life sentence for the murder of at least three young girls, including schoolgirls Leslie Mahaffy and Kristen French, more than 15 rapes and at least 6 attempted rapes. He was assisted by his then wife, Karla Homolka, who was convicted in 1993 and sentenced to 12 years in prison in the deaths of French and Mahaffy, and also played a role in the death of her 15-year-old sister Tammy. She was granted parole, in 2005, after serving her full sentence. Shortly after, she moved to Montreal, where she married, had children and went back to living her life. Fair enough. She served her time. Everyone deserves a second chance. But that's where the story gets complicated. Homolka is volunteering at her children's school, and this bothers many of the parents, who understandably may not feel comfortable with a convicted child serial killer spending time with their children. What is your opinion?

No way she should be out of jail 0.07% 1
It should be perminant that she is prohibited to be around children and she should definently not be allowed to work with kids for the rest of her life 0.07% 1

I don't know what her role was--was she actively involved, or did she just "hide" her husband after it happened? This makes a lot of difference to me. 0.07% 1

Homolka volunteers at a private Christian school in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, a residential neighborhood in Montreal. Her children attend this school, and the school's spokesman says that she is only doing occasional volunteering, and not left alone with the children. To do this type of volunteering, a police records check is not required. Do you think police records check should be mandatory for all volunteering at schools?
