Sophie Ellis-Bextor is by far NOT anyone new. She's been releasing albums since 1998 when she was in the UK indie rock band theaudience. After theaudience disbanded she collaborated with the Italian DJ Spiller for the single Groovejet (If This Ain't Love). In 2015 it had became the UK's biggest selling vinyl single of the millennium so far. Her first solo album Read My Lips came out in 2001 & since then shes released 6 more full studio albums. She's had 27 singles from those 7 albums, & a lot more as a featured artist. Ever hear of her?

Heartbreak (Make Me A Dancer) is a Freemasons SEB collaboration & was released as a single back in 2009 & is on her 4th album Make a Scene which was released in 2011. Taken from Wiki: "The single also reached number one on the MTV Dance Chart, becoming a smash hit, where it sat at the top position for thirteen consecutive weeks" Amazingly enough she is still not well known in the US. Hypnotized is from the Deluxe version of her latest album Hana. She premiered the song live during the UK Leg of Sophie's Kitchen Disco Tour in March 2022. Sophie described the song as 'ABBA on crack' and described it as her favorite kind of wonky pop song. Me personally, I think it's as good as Murder on the Dancefloor. Are you a fan of hers now?

One last question. I've been a fan of SEB since 2007 & after reading comments on youtube, I see lot of Americans are just finding out about her thanks to the film Saltburn. She tours all over the UK/Ireland, Europe & even done shows in Australia/New Zealand & Mexico. But not once has she ever had a show in The States or Canada. Do you think some overseas artists don't get the recognition they deserve. That is unless they "Make it" in America?
